hi all ,

After hours of prep work i have finally got the first top coat on (thanks to cooper-shaz for the paintwork sticky by the way) its had a good licking of etch primer followed by some more coats of high build primer and ive just now done the first top coat i was wandering what grade paper to flat it with to take the shine off for the next coat ? also has anyone got any tips on spraying the clear coat im presuming thin coats as its on top of a gloss finish and adhesion will be a problem any hints gratefully received shouild have pictures up soon on my project

next coat your final top coat? if its 1200-1500 wet and dry prior to the final coat. and yes, thin coats

just read another thread on here about this and that has given mixed thoughts on whether to rub down before lacquer or just to wait until taccy top coat then apply clear so unsure as to what to do have looked across the web and that also gives mixed results

Have got one more colour coat to go on maybe 2 more depending on amount of paint left i will be rubbing down between these coats with 1200 grit have one damn run to sort out and will see after these ..

What paint type are you using?

Cellulose?
2k basecoat?
2k gloss?
