Being used to old Minis ( pre- fuel injection) - im at a loss how to choose an exhaust for the wifeys Spi.

I would like to fit a 3 branch manifold, with a RC40 rear box with no Cat. Im just a bit confused by sensors/black box etc - Will i be causing myself more grief?
ive just spoken to my MOT man whos classic car friendly, and he says dont worry about no Cat as its L Reg 1994.

So my question is, Which Manifold do i buy to bolt straight on? Any advice greatly recieved........

Hi !

You can fit an LCB with a take off for the lambda sensor like this one:

LCB Injection.

And after this you can fit any exhaust system with a 1,75 inc diameter, for example an RC40 exhaust system etc...

Thats great news! Will my inlet manifold be Ok with this?
So all i need to buy is an RC40 and job done for all around £120! Im happy with that........

Yes your inlet manifold will be ok with this LCB don't forget to buy an RC40 fitting kit and a new manifold gasket like this one:

because it needs to be in perfect order for the EFI system, if you do not fit a new one it may result an air leak which will end with a mad EFI system.

You can also add a K&N replacement air filter that fit in the standard air box:

K&N air filter.

With this package your Mini will no be too noisy, and you will notice a peformance improvement, this is the first step.

im planning on fitting a full maniflow system to my mini, i already have a maniflow centre exit 1.75" cat back dual box system, and I am planning on fitting their Injection LCB, which is meant to be the dogs!

the backbox makes such a nice noise, and it isnt stupidly loud,loud enough to be heard, but not to annoy, with just a nice exhaust note! just the way i like it!
