Next time we see you, would you be willing to have a chat about Huey's conversion?

Course, we can go through the whole process

I am amazed you would want to have it back to a "standard" colour after having such a outstanding Bling!

Well, Huey was a bit of a showoff, let's admit, and now I'm really looking forward to calming everything down and getting a bit closer to some of that original magic. With mod cons.

Fair enough. I doubt Huey will ever not be a showoff! lol
but I can understand the attraction to keep the car true to its roots.

Yay! Huey is reborn! And Pagent Blue will look amazing. Now, are you having the wheel centres sprayed Pagent Blue too? So glad you're doing the 10" conversion, always thought Huey would look better on 10's without the sportspack arches too. real old school.

Can't wait to see Him, You, Gill and Rocky sometime soon!

Pagent Blue pick up and 10" wheels, I think we will be getting in each others cars at the shows by mistake!

Lol, fine by me as I have every confidence in Huey looking 10 times better than my pick up will!

Probably, as in the digital mockup by DanielBDavies
except of course it's now a different colour and there won't be any arches

1) Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and you got there first >_<
2) Minis are always different even if they look similar and I really enjoy spotting the differences at shows.

lol, i am sure yours will be up and running before mine, i havent even bought mine yet!
From what you have said, it looks like there will be a fair few differences between ours. But I have no doubt that yours will look 100 times better!

Thats looks quality! Great for running over peoples tents and making sure you get to the regalia before anyone else for those bargins! However, with bristish weather the way it is you might end up having to tow some minis out the mud with it! We could have done with that at IMM! lol

Good to see that huey is getting put back on the road. I am I bit sad to see the Sportspack arches and tahiti blue go though, that's always been my favorite pick up, I think because of the sporty look on a retro shell. Good luck either way! :tumble:

Finally got a box of bits back from the repair shop and can see what broke. Both ends of the o/s swivel hub gave way,
but in what order I wouldn't like to guess. Anyway the signs are that the the front dropped first and pulled the car over,
helped by centrifugal force & gravity on a downhill l/h bend. The wheel then kicked outwards when
Huey toppled back on all fours at the end of his bobsleigh ride.

There is about a 70 per cent chance that Huey will go into the body shop this week to be
restored to "show condition", which I am told is one down from "concours" :dontgetit:
However I will be concentrating on Mrs T's Rocky Cooper for a while yet.
