Changing My 1.3i To A Turbo Carb Engine

They did produce 1275's in 85 but they put them in Metros. I don't know of any rule that says you can't put the engine from a different car in.



Yes, I was thinking for mini's.

Yeah plently of people fit metro engines into minis.

The spi is a good start as it already has the high pressue pump and return fuel lines.

Are you going to be removing the servo? pretty sure you won't be ale to fit both above the clutch cover.


i am going to measure up tomorrow as i am going to remove ecu and coil and air box so i can see how much room i have to play with, but it will be a tight squeeze but turbo is small and should fit...you ever seen a gt1548 ...there small mate

Never seen one, no. Would be good to see fitted under the servo, good luck with it.

Remember Turbos chuck out a fair bit of heat 'n heat won't go well with plaggy reservoir 'n brake fluid.

got a nice load of bits today for the turbo project ...already worked out this is not going to be a cheap job ;)

turbo oil pump
ulight bill flywheel
back plate billet u light
clutch cover grey
clutch plate AP bonded org
1.5 rollertip rockers (minispeed)

next move is to get my head work done to lower compression
