Me and my dad spent a few weekends getting it tidied up and ready for the road.
Had great fun in it, trip to newquay, few shows and generally enjoying the good weather to the full.
However, due to the fact it leaked like a seive when it rained, had no heater or stereo and it cost me £500 to insure it for 3 months I had to sell it.
Every hot day since then I have missed it dearly!
Until about a month ago when it came up for sale again.
My Dad bought it and (hopefully) I'll be able to do it back up ready for the L2B this year!
When we got it back it looked like this:

Somewhat neglected

It came with a boot full of spares, a couple wheels, tyres, exhaust and loads of bits and pieces and has some seats from a Rover 220 coupe fitted (which I might steal for my car...)
The engine that was in it was a 1275 from a sprite, but had just been slotted in, not connected or running.
We decided that we would change it to a lower mileage 998 which we had and knew was reliable (and cheaper on insurance).
So I had a few days off from Uni and got started changing the engine:

Disconnecting and removing the old engine...

The wiring mess! (that's Dad's job)

This taken just as I tripped over the tool box

Engine out!

Getting the 998 in!

And it's in!
Couple things to do, get radiator mount sorted:
