Just recently my clutch pedal has got very notchy...when its fully out as you go to step on it it can be very stiff and then give way to let the clutch in. Its almost as if somthing is sticking then giving?
Any suggestions

Something is sticking then giving.
It might be hard to pin down but I think the clutch lever pivot pin or plunger will be favourite.

Is the clutch noisy as well? I had this problem turned out to be the thrust bearing....
