1.6 Mgb Gt Engine

it's just entered my rather tiny brain that i have a 1.6 1973 mgb gt in the barn, can i take anything off it (carbs?) to put on the mini, i think there twin 1 1/2 su's.

MGB GT IS 1.8.
Carbs awill be too large for a 998 and the intake manifold is incorrect.

sory my mistake, im planning on getting a 1275 or larger engine soon. will they fit on a mini twin carb mainfoldif i was to source one?

Probably better off sticking the MGB on fleabay and then using the cash to buy bits for the mini. Theres virtually no bits that are interchangeable.

they will, but youl need to modify the linkage, if yot want to sell them drop me a pm

the carbs will probably be hs4s, or if its a later one, hif38s

Dont even think id get £200 for it its a complete heap, its been sitting there for years, could be beyond repair. the carbs will probably need a rebuild but just a thought to add some extra go to the mini.

its worth a try, you'd be surprised at what some rot boxes go for on ebay, especially mgb gts!
