[Ipod]

Hi iv got an iphone 3gs i just got the tomtom app for it and awaiting the cradle
I'm wondering if any of you techie types know if i can hard wire the charger end that plugs into a ciggie lighter (i havent got one nor do i want to fit one in).

Basicly is there a after market lead i can buy to wire into a loom somwhere??

Long winded and possibly dont make sence ...

I have a sony radio player with built in iphone docking lead, but it comes up it cant charge the iphone or ipod...pffft

hmmmm my mate has one wired into his sony stereo, and it charges his ipod nano

Apparently when Apple launched the 3rd gen ipod touch and the 3gs Iphone they changed the way they charge.

Connectors for the charger work on a different pin in the multiconnector, so you have to get a docking station/lead that is compatable with the 3rd gen.

They will work with the music side but wont charge. maybe you can get a new link lead from Sony or some sort of adaptor.
