The time is coming soon to part with my mini model collection, I have in excess of 200 models (99% of them boxed complete with certificates, taped doors etc) and the majority are corgi ones.
just wondering if anyone has any advice on selling such things, wether to sell gradually as individuals or to offer as a job lot. and where the best place to sell would be. god knows how much I've spent on them over the years but would like to get a little bit of it back lol!

Could you post us some pictures of your collection. The older ones are best sold seperate as some are worth a fair bit each. The new ones would be best sold as a complete collection. You will get a lot more interest in a large number. The bargain pages sells things with a free add.

On the Antiques Roadshow (BBC) the mint boxed Corgis were said to be worth a small fortune. Specialist dealers take big commissions so you have to be sure of getting big prices. I wonder if Ebay is the way to go?

Thanks all, will have to make a list of them all/get some pictures when I have some time. Theres quite a few on ebay but the selling fees are a killer now to be honest, ebid has less fees but obviously less people will bid on that one.
lol will have to get mini mad craig on board when I'm ready to sell as I believe he's in a club for that sort of thing

If you have a smoke grey mk1 morris mini, a snowberry white mk2 cooper with a black roof or a white mini mayfair, i'd be considering buying a couple <_<

Good luck with the collection, and as others have said, post some piccies up, 200 is a lot, but it's a number, if you've got a picture of the collection as a whole, then it'll really emphasise it.

 Glad to hear that people speak highly of me, Thanks chaps

I could be interested in a few of them for sure, depending on how the money situation looks for me in the next month or so.

I'd be interested in a list and pictures just for entertainments sake to, mate. IMMCC (see below) is the club you speak of  I've had a lot of transactions on their and im a "trusted" member of the community so i'l be cool with listing them on there for you and passing on any Pm's/posts that are put up. There a keen lot, over time i think you could sell them for a lot of money.

Job lot wise, Its not worth it. The thing is with collectors, most of us are looking for something in particular as im sure you know from building up such a big collection! As David says, Hes a lot more into the old Corgi's, Dinky's in 1/43 scale, where-as i more enjoy collecting 1/36 Corgi's. As a job lot you'l be lucky to get £200 for the lot, simply because of how the world is today, money wise, forking out £200 is a lot for most of us on models, £40 is a lot for me at the moment. Listing individually will get you a lot more money, It'l take a lot longer, and your looking at £20 in listing fee's, but your collection could be worth A LOT of money, up to £2000 really, its hard to judge without pictures or a list of the models, though.

Dont hesitate to get onto me about it mate, im happy to help where ever i can.
