yes i do it is not yet fitted but i have the screen in the dash. i will be putting it eithrer under the rear sets with the inverter or the rear pockets. i plan to run all the wires under the carpet and put either pocket bins at the rear or have a specker board in front of the ps2.

i hope this makes sense. i have included a picture of the dash with the screen in. i run the sound throught the stereo, which is in a cente console.
the second picture is a screen which has been moulded in to the dash which i have now sold and the other one has a removable screen. so that it is not on show.

nice work martin!

i've been toying with the idea of installing an ITX PC (Zotac 9300ITX) with a DC-DC supply and installing mame (arcade emu), i've got the Zotac board and a cheap 45nm Q8200 chip (which runs cool) and i bought some authentic arcade joysticks & buttons. It'll also be able to run PS1 & SNES emu's,Wi-Fi, Blu-ray, mp3 etc...cool eh?

heh heh! sorry, the ITX is a very small PC motherboard, about the same footprint as a PS1 and there are quite few to choose from, they're not expensive...but very versatile, using a DC-DC supply (12v in to ATX supply) is more efficient than using an inverter. It's not much more complicated than fitting a game console or building your own home PC...but would look real trick done properly in a Mini.

I'v been thinking about doing this. I'm gonna get one of those head units with the pop out screen. I would like Digital tv on it and have seen a few that have that. I would also quite like a ps3 as well as a NES (as they were released in the same year my car was made) so would give it a modern touch but would still be in keeping with the age of the car in a round about kind away.

I had a ps3 in my mini scamp when I did the mongol rally :)
Rally in style!

Becareful though, If you have a film playing on the ps3 when you are driving and the cops see you then you could potentally get in a lot of trouble. and If you have an acident and its proven that you could see an entertainment screen they could say you were distracted watching that which is why you crashed. And I think they might "throw the book at you" Just beware!
