I had left the car stored over the winter but went to take it out and found the fluid res bone dry?. So i checked under and around the car before moving it and there is no evidence of fluid any where.
Is it possible the master cylinder is filling up the servo? (green tag master cylinder)The servo has rust on it below the mou nting point of the master cylinder.
Has anyone else suffered the same problem? Can anyone help please? Any thoughts?
All advice greatfully received.
My car is a 2000 cooper sport mpi standard brake system
Cheers.

When the car was put away it was had fluid in. but the resvoir is now totally empty. I checked it about 5 weeks ago and it had gone down a little.
I can't think it would go anywhere else. I have not removed the master cylinder yet thats where i will go next i think.

And yes it was just about sucking it throught the pipe aswell.
Thing i brought a seal kit for the cylinder and the end seal and circlip don d'not fit as it has a three pronged round clip instead of the last seal and circlip?.
Is this right or where they changed late on in life. The seal kit i brought is the right one.even the haynes manual shows the haynes manual shows the seal and circlip?.
Has anyone else come across a different arrangment

I have the green tag master clyinder and used the GRK1032 kit bought from Mini Sport.
Everything fitted a treat.
I had to remove the springs & metal clips to get the seals on.
The rear most seal was a pain as you have to compress 2 springs before pushing in the 2 rear most seals before the circlip.
Not sure if we're on the same part, but mine had a plastic tabbed washer type part in between the 2 largest rear seals.
Have you a picture of the parts you have (new & old)
Let me know if I can assist
Cheers

This means the service kit is not strictly correct but i will fit the cylinder and see what happens.

When you look at the back of mine, you just see the circlip & washer.

I had a look at a new one today and it is the same as mine, so at some point rover did away with the last seal and washer and circlip.
This means the service kit is not strictly correct but i will fit the cylinder and see what happens.

I have the same exactly.
How do I open this without making any damage to the seal?
