I bought a mini but won't be getting the pro-mo kit unless I find some people who need websites built. haha the missus insists that all money I make from building sites I can spend on the mini.
Here are some pictures of the mini, which I have yet to pick up. I have to wait a week or so.
It is a cooper s replica but has all the S running gear, which should help fund the pro-mo kit in the near future. What do you guys reckon a S motor and box would fetch? I have been told in the region of about $3000 AUS, by the way I am in Sydney. Maybe I might be the first Aussie pro-motive customer.
If anyone knows anyone that needs a web site done, please send them my way

That steering wheel, wow, I had no idea. I will have to take a closer look at this guys spares when I pick the mini up next week.

Very nice old mini there...
Not being funny, but wouldn't it be better to buy something a bit newer for a bike engine and keep the old one original. Obviously you can do what you want, it being yours and all, but just seems a shame to do away with something so nice and original even if it is only a replica S...

Yeah I can totally understand where you are coming from. But having looked for a very long time they just seem to be snapped up and at the price I got it was OK I think considering what the engine and box is worth alone.
I was always leaning towards a clubman like I had in the past but I just went for the round nose. I have been lurking on this forum for ages, almost 3 years now and read pretty much all the pro-motive threads. I have been reading some discussions on one of the local mini forums about the pro-motive kit and bike engines in cars in general and they all seem to think its impossible. I on the other hand went one step further and printed out a whole bunch of pictures and went to a approved engineer and he OK'ed the kit stating that you are only adding to the subframe and not taking away from it. I think I might check again before I start any major projects though.
