Hi
It doesnt matter which car it came from, it is an A+ block so it will be strong enough to turbo.

David

I think it's an A+ rather than an A series, just means its a slightly later engine.

Oh, beat me to it!

Be careful though, you might stuggle with emissions when it comes to MOT time and proving the age of the engine and the car.

so if i can prove the engine is not out of the car originally i can pass the higher emissions?

Think hard about going straight to 1380 c. If you do that you can never guarantee to be able to re-bore if you need to and the block will probably be scrap when the 1380 bores get worn. Remember, they are never going to make any new blocks and blocks will get rarer as time passes. A really good size is 1330 cc and you won't notice the difference between that and 1380 as most 1380's don't have the rest of the engine built to make the most of it. A big engine needs a really well flowed head, the right cam, etc.
Also, at 1380 the block must be offset-bored and that is a lot more expensive to do than a straightforward +0.060" bore to give 1330 cc.
