valuations please, €500???

met a guy driven round college who was drivin a 93 cooper a couple of wks ago and he had crashed it a few days ago, he wants €500 euro for it-
bad points; drivers wing-banjaxed from crash
front panel-prob the same
bonnet-more than likely out of line or worse
a panels-both were rusty before the crash
doors-bottoms starting to go
gearbox-he let slip before he was sellin that the 'box was a bit clunky
he got the sills done but the guy over sill'd it

good points; cooper 1275 manual
half leather
walnut dash
minilites
twin dtm

For £455 I'd take it...

Although I'd rip off those over sills and the whole front end and start again if I was you.

I would say probably about right value wise on your side of the water.

Sounds a good price.Check the rear sub.Tell them over sills are no good.they do not look good and are a fast re-rot trap.Wings and A s .easy.Front Pannel and valance the hardest part.Check the box more.Also the engine oil.Might just be links.

had a look at it on friday, damage-wing has come detached from the scuttle but is ok, front panel could be salvaged, both A panels need doin(i think 1 is nothin but fibreglass!!) shock mounts are gone, shocks are rusted out, tie rods useless, cv is gone, new bumper needed. subframe looks like it may have shifted a bit, door step needs a patch and a couple of pin holes in the inner sills, the rear is fine
rang him bout it last night (he finished exams so he was a lil bit drunk) but he said he wouldnt take any less than 700 euro, still worth it?????????????

ok, want up there again today and theres no extra work really but he has a 01 fiesta that has a 1.8 diesel blown engine, so i could prob get the mini and fiesta for the 700

the passenger side hub is off and the timing cog broke off and prob destroyed the engine

think i'v done pretty well too, 2 wks off at easter, 1 mini needs respray and cooling put together, the cooper needs to be brought home and start on the work, the daily needs a speedo cable, the rust bucket well it'l hardly do much!! and the fiesta, nearly found a buyer!!
