Yeah i agree with the others... If it feels 100% right then go for it...

Personally myself, I really want to have kids and cant wait, but atm I want to complete all my teaching qualifications, have a nice house and just make the most of being in a happy relationship atm (Im 23 this year so 3- 4 years time and think we'll be ready, my partner wants them in the next few years aswell)

Then again, I watched that born every minute programme and is enough to put you off  lol

Good luck with whatever you decide :(

I think if you really want to you'll do it whatever anyone on here says.

But just remember how much they cost, and all the pooing, vomming, crying.....not putting you off or anything...

Then compare it to how much you really want one, can't say i would at 18 but each to their own! :(

Lol Barnett >_< :)

You are very young, don't rush into things, you may think after 5 years it's not rushing but your age says otherwise. You have so much to do in life, you should give it a few years really, IMO.

Do you live together? If not, try that for a while before you take on a life-long commitment to each other :)

At 18, woah there young man, live yout life first. My daughter is now 3 and a half months old and i am 32. Don't think you are ever ready for one, have friends that have had them at all ages. Thankfully unlike my childhood i am at the point where i earn enough that my daughter will want for nothing. I would hate to have to scrimp and always think i could have done better for my child. Wouldnt be without poppy now she is here though.

if your neither here nor their then your not ready,

it may be tempting to have a baby but you as a person will still be forming, 18 - 21 is the only bit of freedom your gona get.

im 19 i have a girlfriend its our 1 year 6 months today, it doesn't matter if it was 2 years or 3 or 4 spending time with her is easy and is no problem, but who knows what might happen in the future.

we once said we would get married at 1 year but it became obvious that we are butting to much pressure on ourselves, mirage doesn't prove anything neither does having a baby, but we will still do it one day.

anyway my point is enjoy your life now and one day it will click.

just one more thing. if my girlfriend was pregnant and it was an accident then we would keep it as it was meant to be, but familly planning its not nessasery, people often have children to try and tie there relationships together because there not happy.
