Morning,
sorry if this is in the wrong section but after some help.
Doing an assignment on manufacturing techniques in the production of a component and have chosen to do the A series block.
I know its produced by casting but having trouble finding information on what method of casting was used (sand, shell molding etc)

Pretty sure it was sand cast. you can find some rough and irregular bits, particularly in the water jacket, and it has core plugs.
