Just about to look at my old gearbox but advice from others is always welcome.

It workied fine, no noises etc but always jumped out of second gear when slowing down. From what I know it will be the dog teeth that are the problem? What usually wears the syncro hub or the gear it's self? or could it be the sycro ball and springs? Taking a quick look at second gear, before I split the box, the dog teeth look fine.

Any advice would be welcome....

Dog teeth should all have little points on the ( hence their name ), it could be the synchro springs, but I would also check the wear on the selector for underneath the 1st/2nd synchro, it may not be throwing it far enough to enable the synchro springs and balls to locate in the groves in the synchro ring..
