depending how good you want to be yeh, i would say for 6 months to be going for big rails i would say that sounds about right

after a bit it feels natural tho, i can skate from 8am to 9-10pm without a break or anything

id agree that amount of time will probs be needed if you want to do big rails.
i for one don't like rails at all, the extend of my rail tricks are boardslides lol

i used to be able to skate for ages now not so much, mainly due to waking up late
but i can manage from around 12/2 till around 7 or bit later, but i don't trust the area the s/park is in haha

well tamworth is better then milton keynes so i try and go there and its cheaper!!.

i dont think i could do the whole micro scooter thing i would defo fall over and hurt myself!!

yeh theres also a dry slope up in telford but its not that great aha more of a place to learn the basics

well im 19 and have just started, its really fun but the bails can hurt, but thats half the fun of these kinds of sports lol

with the sort of experience i have, its like heaven falling on snow anfter being on concrete etc for years

i dont really tend to feel pain anymore tho, it really toughens you up and always makes me wonder why chavs etc start fights. theyre going to lose

i sort of feel it for a second then just get on with it anyway

i remember a few times i have had small breaks or fractures then went to hospital for an xray, when they wanted to put a pot on it id leave
the parks wont let me in if ive got a pot on!!

i was walking around on a broken ankle for 3 days before i went to hospital. was probably best to get a pot on that. it was a serious break and was off school for about 4 months

cant wait for summer and softer grass, ive mastered the art of carpet skating so should be fun on the proper ground :(

i think falling over on a dry slope on skis is worse than grass>_<
atleast the grass doesn't stab you, so you should be ok

try mountain boarding if you can't get to any slopes, thats always fun and is very similar.

ive found the next sport im going to try, sand boarding

they go out in the desert and go down the dunes, should google it, much like snowboarding but a harder board and all the runs are like black ++++

oh, and tried mountain boarding a few years back, bery easy and felt really cool. except walking back up the hill

oh yeah seen that sport ages ago, does look pretty fun tbf, just find some nice dunes and take an old deck with you or something aha always works for me

thats why i like to use a 1.8 metre or a big 3.6 meter power kite with my mountain board :(
