watsons full kit is £1500 vat, consisting of modded rover 100 subby, custom shafts, alt bracket, and eng. mounts. this is for diy obviously.theres no way im paying 7k for a conversion kit
i would much rather spend a tenth of that and butcher an old subframe.
plus im in no rush so i might aswell do as much as i can myself and source the other bits as cheap as possible, it doesnt matter if i have a random assortment of bits under the bonnet aslong as it all bolts together and works.

I say go for it
you`ve got a daily run around and you`ve already got the engine etc. Take your time with it over the summer and enjoy doing it.

Do it. Everything has fallen into place to allow you to do it. You have most of what you need, except for the Subby, and it will be fun and a challenge.

I'm bias aswell, But i say do it, but do be prepeared to spend a good sum of cash even on a budget build. As you eng up buying little things what all add up and before you know it your in the £#000's. But its all worth the money and time.
