Seized Clutch

i have just happened upon a mini 35 with a seized clutch asin it wont engage any gears but there is fluid how can i fix this

If the clutch will not release, one solution apparently is to support the front on the car on axle stands, start the car in gear and then bang on the brakes.

It didn't work on mine, after a few attempts I felt it was going to damage something else, so I bit the bullet and replaced the clutch.

If you do manage to set it free by the method above, the clutch housing is likely to be full of clutch plate dust and will probaly clog up the starter if you have an inertia type.

If it's just the operating lever that is stuck - pour boiling water over it - and soak it in release oil!
