Hi everyone,

I am doing a fibre glass flipfront on my clubman restoration. i have cut everything off that i should have done and bought the brace bars from mini speed at what i consider to be expensive for what they are!!!!...anyway i tried fitting them today but the angles are completely out not even close! that makes me think either im doing something wrong or the bars are just rubbish?

I want to make sure im right in thinking that the bars fit from the front of the sub frame up to just above the shock mountings on the outside of the inner wings?

this is what i attempted but doesn't seem to fit at all. just want your thoughts before i go complaining to minispeed about the bars! lol

Cheers

remember you can remove the wings and front panel but if you touch the inner wings your in for an IVA test

it's a bit odd but thats the DVLA for you

Yes I want to know what people think of this point too.
Also the more we go on about IVA testing on here the more chance of keeping the IVA high profile and it not just going away like other directives have!!!

a friend of mines work mate has just had his landrover impounded, it was a 60's landy and a range rover chassis but with the landys V5

got stopped for a road side check outside a off road meet

he had to find his own way home as they took his V5 tax disk and MOT off of him and impounded the landrover

from what i have been told to get it back, IVA it and modifications needed has cost him £1500

You mean it was a ringer!!

Chassis number is exactly that. nothing to do with IVA I expect.

yes but have you seen some of those landrovers!!! Some of them look like they shouldnt even be used offroad let alone on the public highway. My mates 8 year old son can stand under the front bumper of another mate of mines landrover, so that surely cant be safe on the road. Basically most of them are mega clearance offroaders with indicators and a passenger seat.
