Urm, i think your in trouble matey. You have to inform them asap as to your new address.

You could try and say that you sent your V5 off to be changed but as it states up to 6 weeks for them to return it, you'd just assumed they still had it.

It might work but its a long shot

i wouldnt try and do it online without contacting them and explaining like i said. you may find if you do sorn it online that they will send you an £80 fine for being late, which you wont be able to claim back/argue.

how can you claim your V5 is supposed to be with them if you using it to sorn the car?

Personally I would not panick. I did not sorn mine till after 6 months of buying it as rolling project and have heard nothing back that was like 3 months ago.

10 days overdue, but by the time i have changed my address.... and they have sent me the form, well you know.

im a student on the last of my loan, i only have 100 pounds. thats why im a little panicky, but its good to know that 6 months after they didnt charge, i would hate to have my car towed away or something, id actually die a little inside, life without minis is alien to me now

The offence is not filling out the form, not driving the car on the road.

You dont need the reminder form, just use your V5 and do it online now, if your lucky you wont get a fine!

i tried to do it online but i havent got a reminder letter with my reference on it. so i cannot continue.
i gues it would be ok to change the address to my girlfriends house, but i dont live there, im sort of between addresses whilst search for a new one.
