just out of curiosity. I have read and heard a lot about the K conversion for big bore engines.
Has anyone ever converted a small bore with some bike head to get 16v ?
Are any bike heads known to 'fit' the small bore ( and I know 'fit' should be interpreted largely ).

I've got a 1275 head on my small bore, so I can't see why something that will fit on a large bore block won't fit on mine. Block pocketing might be needed however

Probably worth checking here

From there FAQ
8.Will any 'K' head fit my engine block?
8V Twin Cam heads will fit all A-series blocks from 850 to 1460cc, 16V heads will only fit 'big bore' blocks (1275cc+). All blocks need to undertake the machining work described in the build guide. to accept the 'K' head.

I beleive the k100 heads are 8v and the k1100 are 16v? So k100 head on a small bore, k1100 on a big bore.
