I'm not mad, i'm just fed up of years of people under estimating Jenson. It's all he gets, since Hamilton started anyway. Hamilton had a brilliant drive today, and his Qualifying lap was outstanding yesterday. Jenson's race, how about that? 14th to 4th, he put in a solid performance and yet all everybody go's on about on forums is how good Vettel did, and how much of a brilliant driver Lewis is. Just winds me up.

And the Red bull drivers are losing themselves the title, infront of their very eyes. They obviously have a game plan, as we saw with Vettel taking Webbers front wing, so why don't the drivers stick with it during the race? Vettel was right alongside Webber at the first corner, fair enough its Formula 1, you have to challenge, but Webber was never going to leave a gap there, and we all know how quick Lewis is off the line, yet Vettel still decides he can jump them both at the start, and hence found himself in a gap that was perfect size for Webbers car. It was never going to work, he was always going to shut the door, be it his team mate or not. If had waited, slotted it behind Lewis in 3rd and settled down he could have been first by the end of sector 1. You can't win a race at the first corner.

as above, all i can agree with is red bull throwing it away.
webber did exactly what you said you can do and won the race from the first corner, got himself in the lead and didnt look back.
webber is hugely underated, considering his responsible for a lot of behind the scenes stuff at red bull (hasnt he been there pretty much from the start??)
it will come for vettel once he calms down maybe. will this come with age?maybe not as he like the rest wants to win.

i dont really like button either just see him as a spoilt rich kid. he claims theres very little difference other than the seat and pedal position, between his and lewis's car. yet his is undrivable? lewis said all the upgrades are bang on but they just havent quite had long enough to get them working to there full potential.
it seems lewis has more in him, he just gets on with it and lets his driving do most of the talking where as jensen likes a little moan, last season he dominated when his car was the best in the field but when his car is average he doesnt quite cut it in my eyes.

When a car is average in Formula 1 there is nothing the driver can do. And sure i agree, Lewis is making the upgrades work, but thats about driving style. The car was understeering massively in Practice 1, and Lewis likes that, it works with his style, he says it all the time. Jenson likes the car planted to the road, He likes to know where its going to be front and rear when he enters a corner, apex and exit. That's why Lewis is better in qualifying, some sectors of the track might be greener than others and Lewis can control the car better when it understeers or oversteers, purely because that's his style, Jenson is a lot more solid and consistent under race conditions as we saw today, not a single mistake from Jenson, because after 5 laps he knew where the car was, where he stood with his tyres, he made the soft tyers work for him and was up to speed with the guys on brand new hard compound on soft's that were 15 laps old.

And if it annoys you that Jensons a spoilt rich kid then your in the wrong game to be honest :) Name me a Formula 1 driver that wasn't rolling in it as a kid. Sure, Hamilton didn't start off to well, with his parents splitting up and not having much money, but he got backing from one of the most prestigious Formula 1 teams in the world, and was a spoilt rich kid from then on. If you read Jensons autobiography then you'l realise he was no better off than Lewis, but like Lewis devoted his life, and his parents devoted their lives to his racing.

i do understand that the vast majority of drivers are priveleged but something with jenson grates with me almost like because of his wealth he deserves to be there.
if his car is bang on boo hoo, hes paid a fortune to drive it regardless, hes been in cars long enough, it doesnt matter what his "style" is he should adapt to the car. he cant expect the car to be perfect every lap of every race, the only driver who moans on par with button is alonso.
drivers with lesser teams seem to value there place in the padock but he comes across like he doesnt with his constant moaning.
he maybe lovely in person but until i meet him ill think hes a tit due to how he comes across.

I've never actually heard Jenson moan to be honest :) I've heard him passing information onto the team, saying stuff like 'How can this car be so bad? its all understeer' and thing's like that, in the same way that Lewis does. But he never directly moans about the car. Sure he says hes not happy with how the cars performing, but so do all the drivers? Its a part of it, a car is never going to work at every circuit, under all circumstances. Thats impossible.

And seriously, you can't say that. Nobody values their place in Formula 1 like Jenson Button, that's just unsaid, he lives for the sport!

"perfect every lap of every race" And that's why you adapt as the race go's along. You get used to the aero, wind direction, dirty sections, tire wear during a race to make the car as drive-able as possible.

I think it was a great race today - loads of drama, quite a few overtaking moves and a good result for the Brits considering their qualifying positions. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic - I was there and I'm sure it's not often that the noise from the crowd can overcome the sound of F1 cars!!

The Red Bull thing is typical team politics that has been part of the sport forever and will be forever more - I think it actually did Mark a favour by firing him up a bit! All in all a well-deserved win (I'd even put a quid on it on the Whittlebury Village hall raffle!)

It's all still to play for in the championships to keep the interest in F1 up though - here's to as good a second half of the season!

It was rediculous! >_< It's good to see the FIA handing out penalties to the red cars now though. We all know of their relationships in previous seasons :P bad times :)
