I have just got hold of a pair of metro front hubs. But am not sure the best way to fit them and plumb them in. are there any fitting guides or instructions or can you buy fitting kits?
any information would be really helpfull.
cheers

i think you have to make sure the ball joints are the right ones because some of them have a different taper on them. if they are wrong buy the right ones now. brake pipe wise you can buy a mini to metro conversion kit because the metro is metric and the mini is imperial

and when fitting make sure you fit them the right way up else you will never bleed them properly!
bleed nipples up the top of the caliper
you defo need the metro to mini conversion kit
and some brake pipe spanners
also buy replacement bleed nipples for the rear as these will be rusted.
the worst part is undoing the old copper lines and installing the new ones through the chassi
ps youll need a brake bias valve for the rear when your done else the back end will lock under heavy braking - i found this out today!
good luck

the title said the calipers but you are saying hubs as well? I am presently fitting metro calipers 4 pot and metro vented discs but I didnt consider the hubs, all I wanted was the brakes, dont know if hubs are better. I had to fit the metro tin shrouds, modify them where they fit to the steering ball joint:the mounting face of metro disc needed reducing by 8mm to bring disc into middle of caliper the 2 pipe entry on metro caliper is easily converted with the kit available. The mini drive flange needed the 3/8 holes opened to 10mm to take the 4 fixing bolts from metro. HTH *****OOPS forgot, also need special caliper mounting bolts 10mm shank,3/8unf thread

Metro hubs are no use on a Mini - the geometry will be all wrong. Some say they can sort it out with adjustable arms etc - but really -just use Mini hubs - they work!
