can i use a bolt with hold drilled in it instead of a clevis pin? long story just wondered if it would be a bad idea?


You can, I take it you have lost the clevis pin then :D is bit of an effort though to drill through?

Would be best to use a new split pin aswell if your old one is really weak

I think the pin is hardened where as the bolt wont be

its ok i done the 60 mile round trip to DSN classics, i got a new water pump to justify the petrol :wub:, once i got some light up there it went in easy :D i even put my 'R' clip in by hand. thanks for the help guys my clutch now works as it should ;)

pah, all that moaning, youve had it easy really. just wait till you have to take the bleeder out!! your lucky yours fell out in a way because at least you didnt have the hard part of removing it

it only took me a few seconds to fit a new one, just laid upside down on the seat and went straight in

pressed the horn a few times mind
