At the ring its most likely oil, (And to be honest i cant see water causing that much hassle).

At a guess I'd say he was trying to keep racing funnily enough! That's not a TF session it's a race. Although a poorly organised one because as Kam says, it takes way too long for the marshalls to arrive. To be honest they would probably have been there quicker if it had been a TF day.

No it just looks like water to me. We all know from experience that water does have that much of an effect there, I believe that's even the same corner where we all had a similar experience last year. To me it looks like that's the start of a race, given the bunching of the pack, so oil on the track is unlikely.
