I was a fool to spend so long away, my poor little mary parked up in the corner, ashamed of her failed MOT, ashamed of her sorry excuse of an owner.

So I was up all night and something was bugging me, so I drove down to my works car park - and there in the corner is my Mary. What the heck I thought - I cant sell her, I might as well start doing the bits on her that I can. So I found the keys, had a redbull, got the jump leads out - got everything ready for a jump start and then thought what the heck, lets see if she starts.

40 Days doing nothing, and the last time she ran we had to jump her outside the MOT testing station...... she started first time, a little choked up but within a minute or so she was purring away. Brakes were fine despite the handbrake being left on so I thought I would treat her to a 6AM bath.

She looks quite nice with a wash and wax, just gotta get all the hidden stuff sorted.

This post probably makes no sense as the red bull has worn off - but I have fallen in love with her again.

Fair play. I'm running on Red Bull at the moment too. Mary does scrub up well - what did she fail on?

I'm guessing you've both crashed after your caffeine high by now. I hope you made it to bed and aren't lying in the street :)

We all go through this. Due to my job, Scrappy can be left neglected for months at a time, then I look at him and think why bother, then something just clicks and I'm happy again, and I want to get him finished.

(Wife and kids bugging me to finish him helps too, lol.)
