What do you guys think this car is worth, im not expecting much as the condition isn't great.

Right well.

It is a 1988 Mini mayfair with 66k miles on the clock but since had a Recon'd 1275 metro engine and gearbox put it in which was on 33k

It has had a spray job but this was major bodge job the spraying was only done on the outside and so inside the visible red has been sprayed black but the rest is red in side, bubbling is occurring on the paint work and there is a hole on the drivers door step (Shown in pictures) rust is occuring in the boot and bits of rust inside but nothing major than the hole shown. the underbelly has had a coat of oil to prevent rust. it gets a bit damp on the drivers foot well so maybe a leak somewhere. It has had new doors on it which are in excellent condition, grille is around a year old, bumpers have gone a matt black colour, has chrome mirrors, Wipac Spot lights.
Has rear window and back 2 windows tinted.
Had a new battery from halfords a month ago.

The Engine has a Hiff44 carb and has only covered about 100 miles since been put in due to the mini being off road for certain repairs etc. it has 33k on the engine, superb engine can't fault it, goes through the gears well. The exhaust is a twin centre DTM and this was on the car when we bought it so i can't tell you much more.

It has 13 x 7 Superlight deep dish wheels with YOKO A539 Tyres which where purchased from Huddersfield mini spares last year these have not covered a great distance and have no curbing/scratching what so ever. it has Group 5 arches in black but the Arch on the drivers side at the front has had a screw come out at the bottom due to the fixing hole breaking but still is on the car firmly and hasn't really affected anything.

The inside it has Cobra bucket seats with scuff here and there but generally in good condtion, it is fully carpeted with mats and wallnut dashboard, JVC head unit with 6x9 speakers in parcel shelf. The door cards are home made nothing special, window winders/ door handle etc are standard what came with car.

Don't think there is much more i can say i have been as truthfull about every fault that i have found on the car, as you can see it has good points and bad points but would make a outstanding mini with a bit of work.

Has 6 months MOT and Tax till June

Let me know what i have missed out.

Time for pictures.

Have removed the bini badge since them pictures, put the original rear lights back on, and removed tints from the front 2 windows, back 2 windows and rear window are still tinted. also have put the rubbers on the arches.

Will get pictures of inside tommorow.

What do you think then guys?
Cheers, Josh

How long for the MOT to run out, if < 6 months, I reckon it's an 800 - 1k car, will need work for new MOT.

Ebay it may reach 1500 because someone likes the colour.

Trade value < 500.

That looks a nice car finished in a popular colour, I would say £1.2K on E bay with the wind blowing in your direction!

PS .. Honest copy too .. I like that!

Yeah cheers for that Senile, I was thinking between the 1k-1.5k mark

all it needs is some body work adjustments and a spray and some interior changes and it will be super.

As Guessworks says, the colour is a bonus and it looks like someone has loved it (was that you?) Pity about the rust. I really like it.
