Im looking to buy a set of these Gaz shocks with a set of hi los.
Which ones should i get the lowered ones or the standard height, i dont really get what the difference will be? Im i mising something or am i of my rocker?

The lowered ones are shorter, it really depends how low you want your mini.

Depends on the type you buy some makes are about 15mm shorter and some can be 25mm shorter (shorter = length of stroke and overall length when fully extended), for HiLo's use shortened type.

Should the different top shock mounts be fitted as well?

so the standard height ones are fine to have even if lowering the height with the hi los?

Yes, but they will restrict how much you can lower the car by, as too much will mean that they bottom out. If you are going to lower it by more than about 1"-1 1/2" then lowered/shorter ones would be best.

get the shorter shocks if you are wanting to go low and have them work, i have them and can say they are a nice ride

do lower shocks lower your car?
i recently brought some shocks that claimed 20mm lower? i wasnt sure wha this meant either?

I suggest the lower ones, my car isn't lowered and the shocks bottom out with the standard height Gaz.
