i'm going to have a stab at what he means - he has water under the top coat and it has "mottled" the laquer.
if so pefectly ok to drive on

That's just the laquer flaking off. They could do with re-painting but they are fine to use.

Are your wheels magnesium ? if they are then it's possibly far worse than this and can be like dry rot in wood

if im honest with you i have no idea all i know is there 13 inch star mags alloysfiliform corrosion
Are your wheels magnesium ? if they are then it's possibly far worse than this and can be like dry rot in wood

Near me its about £40 for a good refurb, I looked into it with mine, but decided it made more sense to buy a new set.
