Model: Rover Sprite
Year: 1993
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):
Recently my drivers' side wing mirror seems to have become pretty loose, so whenever I go over a bump in the road or go at over about 30mph, the mirror just flops inwards and I have to keep stopping and moving it back outwards.
Is there any way I can tighten it up? I thought it was just a ball joint, like your pelvis bone :D

Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?

Yes, pop the small square (ish) cover off and there are 2 screws holding it onto door and a nut for tightening the mirror part.

The big nut in the same location is more likely... No? ?
Edit: sorry, just read it properly. ?
