In past always had motorbikes and always swapped em etc at dealers.

I have just bought a mini sprite off my mate, who has delacred it SORN. I know I cant tax it online as im not
registered owner yet. Question is to tax it at post office does it matter whos name is on the V5 logbook?

Im sure in past bike dealers would tax new bikes for me and have my insurance cover note to do so.

To tax mini I have, mot, V5 in mates name and of course insurance certificate.
Will this be ok?

Your mate should fill in the V5C and send it off to DVLA to register the change of keeper, giving you the New Keeper Supplement which is the light green part of the V5C. You can use this to tax it.

So before i go to tax it at lunch am i better off getting this filled out and just taking along the green slip and not the whole V5?
