Depends how much you can make it rev, the racers are putting out around 100bhp i think but engines cost a fortune.
I had a 998cc when i was 17, piper 270 cam, stage 3 head, modified SU, LCB etc, vernier cam belt, was 50bhp at the wheels.

yh i want to get mine to 50-60 bhp but dont know where to start ive got standard head stage 1 exhaust and air filter thanks danDepends how much you can make it rev, the racers are putting out around 100bhp i think but engines cost a fortune.

You want to get a uprated head first and then a fast road cam.

when the kad heads first came out there was amini in miniworld with a 970 engine, 16 valve head + lots of other mods that kicked out 200 BHP

I'v got a 998 that been pocketed to have a 1275 head on it as well as a stage one kit. Thats got 53BHP. Bloody expensive to try and insure though.

WILL_H on here has 155 hp with his 998.
It does have a turbo though.

Well if you are cheating, my R1 had 165bhp from a 998 (without turbo)!!

Stage 1, nothing special.
42 hp.

Mines got a very grunty and revvy 62 bhp with mg metro head/pocketed block, sw5 cam, hiff 44 (unecessary), standard air filter case, minispares stage 1 kit.

my 998 currently has 61bhp @ flywheel.
Stage 1 Kit, 12G295 cylinder Head, Forged Rockers, Weber 28/36
