i am looking to do a mini conversion but i am not sure as to what i want to do as i am young an insurance an tax will come in to play but i am open to suggestion i would like something fast an reliable an cheap.


would it cost much to tax an insures these car or will they be cheap as to they could fall in to the class of being kit car i i like the sound of the swift, 1.6 -1.8vvc,red top and a saab 2.0l turbo but am open to suggestions.

your best bet would be to restore a mini 1000 to original spec

anything bigger than 1275cc and you will not get insured..................so stick ti a midly tuned 1000 for starters and when you've got a few years no claims bonus then mod a 1275.....do not try for big guns on first years insurancs.......... :mrcool:

Tuned 998's are still quite nippy...

Get a few years under your belt (in terms of insurance) and then upgrade... (could always buy a 1275 and start modifying it ready for when you do the implant)

ahh but i plan to drive my moms 1.3 hyundi first for a few years while i get all the things i need for my mini so will that ount as years under my belt with my insurance
