To be honest I was disappointed with the fit of my newton commercial. With all the ravings from people I expected to just glue it in and it would look great, but I needed to trim it and the front floor piece was a poor fit.Newton commercial. not cheap thou!
Having said that after all that effort I can only Imagine how badly other carpets fit!

You want it to fit, that's the justification.

When you first throw them in, they don't appear to fit very well. This is why car trimming is a skilled job. They don't need a lot of work, no more than 4 or 5mm at the most carefully trimmed from exactly the right places but once you have worked out exactly what to remove the fit is excellent. Much better than any flat carpet will ever be.
