Does anyone know where to get proper valuations to? I rang up for a quote for an agreed value insurance yesterday with Adrian Flux and they asked me to get an official valuation....

But they then contradicted themselves saying that the company they found would just need £10 for the agreed value service and to send in 6 pictures and would agree the value with me?

Going to try a couple other companies before I take the plunge with any quotes....


Although they gave me a really good quote of £387 fully comp, 2yrs ncb and with a value of my choice (£4.5k ish) with everything declared....

Something I proposed to the mods on the forum not so long ago but didn't really get anywhere...

The difference between sending photo's off and then someone values your car, is that's the value which they set, if you don't agree with that valuation then you need an independent valuation of the vehicle. This is something many Local and National Mini Clubs do, I've done the odd one or two. The difference is the independent valuer will be looking at the actual car, documentation, history etc etc and not just 6 photo's

yes, I have done a few valuations in my role as Chairman of my club. We then provide a letter adviseing of the valuation we have come to and how we have come to that ammount on our headded paper.

A local mini Garage will do one as well

I'm with flux, sent off the tenner and the 6 pictures you described, said it was worth 4.5k and they agreed with me. Just make sure the car is shiny!

Ideal cheers, going to try footman james aswell as been told they are very good. If not Im going to go with the adrian flux quote


Have you got a picture of your mini on here? Just so I can see mines is on the right track, and not under/over valuing it or anything lol ...
