Hi there!

After seeing this Mini Clubman I got curious about it.

Posted Image

As you can see, those are Triumph Dolomite's 13' wheels.

Are they a straight fit to Minis ?!

I love my 10 Cosmic wheels, though I would like to see how the car handles&goes with 13' wheels.

I saw an add for a 13' Cosmic set for a Triumph.

If they fit, I'm going to get them!

Can you help me out?

Thanks!

No, 13" rims are not a direct fit onto a Mini. The only low profile tyre size generally available for 13" rims which will fit is the size used by Rover for the Sportspack and when fitted it requires steel to be removed from the front arches, a reduction of the steering lock and spacers (6mm) to be fitted to the rear to avoid clearance problems.

Hi Dav, thanks for answering.

I´m aware of the modifications to fit 13' wheels but my question here was regarding to Triumph wheels.

I wanted to know if wheels like theese:

would fit mini's hub.
Do you know if they do?

Thanks!

They look ace!

Bet theyre a damn site cheaper than most 13" wheels for Mini's too.

Be interesting to see if theyre a straight swap.

Maybe you could search around for Dolomite wheel stuf pcd's and see if they match up to the mini?

Hi jack,

Thanks, I´ll look into it.

Speaking of Cosmic... here's my 10x6 set:

Thanks Jack.
I´ve searched 10x6 Cosmic for more than a year here in Portugal.
And they don´t come cheap...bought these last year for around £100 in a bit of a bad shape.
Painted Subaru yellow and had some encounters with sidewalks...

Nothing that a company that restores wheels can't handle!
Spent another £100 and got them like you see them...new!

Also have another set of Cosmic but only 5'' wide. Also 10 inch.

I know a Mini that has a 12x5J Cosmic from a Datsun 1200 I believe.

The Cosmic that I saw for sale are for a Triumph and are 13x5,5J
Like the ones on the photo above.

And as for the PCD's ... just found out that most old Triumph have 3.75" (95.25mm) PCD.

I believe MINI's have 101.6mm (4in PCD).
So I´m out.

nice 12" wheels seem to be really hard to come by. i find that if you want nice wheels you have to have 10's or 13's

Tires for 12' are also harder to find.
