Morning,

I have a 1989 Mini 30 that I have just finished the restoration of, I'm running around doing small trips to iron out the bugs.

The heater was dripping slightly which i assumed was a loose hose clip but by the time I had yanked the old hose off etc and replaced the clip the leak has turned in to a torrent...

I assume that I need to replace the entire unit?

Is it easy to upgrade by fitting a later model dual speed fan set up?

Is the matrix imbedded in the fan unit or seperate and is it different on the later models.

Basically, I have no idea what I'm doing with this bit so all the advice possible would be really appreciated...

Many thanks.Attached File  Picture_013.jpg   171.9K   4 downloads

It's simple enough to replace the whole heater with a later unit but all you need to swap is the matrix. It's easy to strip the heater and replace the matrix, easier on the later plastic bodied units but still not hard on the metal cased versions.
