Hi guys, I'm in no way a mechanic or anything, so I'm sorry if this seems a silly questions to some of you, but why would my brakes need to be pumped before they do anything? If I really press all the way down on the pedal it will start to work, but I don't like doing that because the drivers side caliper seizes up (It's on my Things To Do list ), and the majority of the pedal does nothing, unless i give it a few pumps, then the pedal stiffens up and the car brakes.

This started this morning, and usually the car pulls to the left a little bit due to the seized caliper, but this morning it started pulling considerably more, would that have anything to do with the brakes not working very well at all?

cheers guys

You say your no mechanic, so your best option is to find a mate who can use spanners or take it a garage.

If you have an accident with the car in that condition and the car is examined you could be looking at prison. is it worth it.

You don't mess about where brakes are concerned people get hurt
