to what i presume to be a 59d distributor?

i was given a britpart electronic ignition kit (£15 new! mini specific ones are a rip-off )
and i had a quick look, and the trigger (black ring) slides over a tinyest fraction, and sort of engages on the spindle, as it you cant turn it round on the "square" part of it, but it wont go on any further, can i find a way of fitting this by shaving down the insides slightly to get it to fit?

You question doesn't quite make sense. Are you saying the trigger ring won't fit fully onto the squared center spindle of the dizzy. If so then I've seen this mentioned before the answer seems to be to carefully trim the plastic so it does fit.

yeah lro, basically the trigger wont fit over the splindle properly, but does go on about 1mm and catches the spindle if you get me

This is the older version, the ring needs to go fully on, so only option is to trim the plastic. Although soaking it in boiling water may expand and soften it enough to allow you to push it on.

is that a britpart kit too?

it has the same green bullet connector on as the one i have, but the blue sensor is now red and curves around the trigger :w00t:
