What i meant to ask is can i swap a 90 mh speedo for a 120 mh one or do i have to re calibrate it/change cable? Thanks in advance for any help Tim.

I can only comment on the center mounted speedos. You'll have to look at your gauges (if this is part of a cluster located in front of the driver) to determine how much of the following is applicable.
On Smiths speedos there is a "Turns Per Mile" (TPM) number printed on the gauge face near the odometer window. If you have a 90 MPH speedo and a 120 MPH speedo with the same TPM number, you can swap them without any issue. I don't know where (or if) the TPM number is printed on the later Smiths and Nippon Seiki gauges.

only problem is i dont want to buy one i its going to be compatible. its the later type infront of steering wheel i wanted to change my two clock binacle for a three with a rev clock and 120 mph for future ngine swap i was wandering if anyone had already done it.

I think the tpm's are different, for mine to run a 120 mph speedo ive changed the speedo drive gears for a different ratio, but Ive built a new engine and was easier to do this way, I think you can get the calibrated by someone like speedy cables. The tpm for the later nippon clocks is on the inside of the speedo, you will need to take the speedo out the housing to look.
