Right, just got hold of a 70a alternator off a friend which is brand new,

the wiring plug plugs directly into the alternator BUT

there is also extra terminals on the alternator of which im not sure what they do...

there is one male lucar terminal and a threaded bolt coming off the same place which have B+ next to them, and another threaded bolt which has W next to it, and a plastic cover on the top

all i know is that on the box it has as follows: Alternator Mini/Metro 70 amp New, LRA602, and GXE2276
and on the alternator the only identification i can find is a sticker that says BBA 30/05/08, it says china on something in the middle and a circle with 'YY' in the middle on another part.

any help appreciated, ill get pictures up shortly

If you've got the standard 3 way plug on your loom, just plug it in...It'll work fine.

The threaded terminal B as the same output as the two larger spade connections.

If you use the threaded post as your output instead if the spade plug you can make up a chunker output cable instead of the feeble standard one. Gets more power down to the starter solenoid.
