I'm slowly getting there just about to order my shed/workshop not a drive in workshop but never the less my little heaven :) I'm buying a 10X8 Shed and it will be purely for my mini tools etc so i was wondering what paint would you all recommend on the floor? from the company building the shed they have said it will be treated but would best be redone as there treatment will only last a few weeks until you the customer spend even more money to treat it properly so what do you think as it will probably have some oil spilt on it at some point  the flooring is tongue and groove (no dirty comments please)
:P

maybe like a oil based emulsion, then you could just wipe up any spillage and not worry about it soaking in and ruining the wood?
or kreosote if you can find it anywhere?

Wait till we have fine sunny days and very dry.I would do all the shed including floor with a brand name chemical wood pres. .Like the one they always put on telly.Oil is fine on wooden floor but put a old carpet down. The carpet tiles are best and easy to change.Feels better when your working in it to.
You do not need to pay the NEW Shed TAX if you are Married. :)

A light coloured paint will make a small room appear bigger. Clever use for example would be to paint a ceiling white to give extra height to a room. Painting walls with vertical stripes can enhance the sense of height.

But really I would do use a creosote Substitute. Often comes under different names such as Creotech or Creotreat. In my experience mixing 5 parts Creosote Substitute with 1 part Clean Engine oil, makes an excellent preservative. The oil helps stop the wood from becoming brittle and cracking and imparts waterproofing qualities to the timber. This is also very easy to apply via a sprayer. It may require a little thinning with turpentine.

Sounds right Jake. Many still use old Engine Oil on Fences and Sheds. Not the best for a new one.The inside white would be great and also easy to spot tools etc..
How many of us spend more time looking for are tools than the job takes. My old joke to mates YES i have got one Somewhere.Spent a few years with a Bham Top Tool Company when young Edmunson.King Dck just up the road. There mans joke was can you lift the packed box of spanners. They packed about 60kg in a box.

I put Vinyl flooring down over the wooden boards, makes a smooth surface & easy to keep clean !

Got an off cut from a carpet/flooring shop :)
