Hi, Im thinking about buying some starmags for my mini but can only find 12s at 6j instead of 5j
Would these be ok on my car as everything is standard, shocks/arches etc ?
I dont want to have to change anything
Thanks
Debs

Trimming off the front arch / panel will be required .
Your better off getting the sportspack cutting template from minispares , will show you exactly where to cut.

when i say arch i mean the metal arch that makes up the front wing.
Any wheel with an offset over 5 inches will require some trimming , despite what people tell you , the trimming on 5 inches will be slight, but trimmed all the same.
google starmags and do some research , most of the major retailers stock them , and can be found in the magazines and online , stocking various sizes.

i have 5.5 with new wings either side so i know they havent been cut and the wheels are miles away from the arches

sportspack coopers had their arches / wings cut to accomodate the new 6 inch wide wheel they were fitted with , as the wheels you are thinking are also 6 inches you see the problem , its not the diameter of the wheel thats the problem its the width.
Your better off trying a wheel on your car and take it from there

As the.stroker says, I have yet to see a 6x12 or 6x13 wheel on a Mini that doesn't need body Mods. A 5x12 shouldn't need any at all.

The semi-deep dish 5x12's will rub, unless your suspension cones have recently been replaced, they do only rub, whereas 6x12's will catch quite a lot. I wouldn't use the sportspack templates for 6x12's because you would be cutting too much metal away, if you are going for 13" wheels then the template is perfect, but for 6x12's its trial and error with the arch trimming, you just need to shave a bit at a time until they miss.
