Well just been out and bought myself a project. Its a 1990 H reg Mini Mayfair automatic. The bloke i bought it off had it stuck in is garage for a couple of years and been having bits done with it be to be honest the welding is terrible. I got the jump leads on it and manage to get it started so least i know the engines alrite and everything else seemed to be working well. I have no real concrete plans at the minute thinking of either keeping it original or changing the colour but either way im gunna keep the auto engine because ive already got another mini sidewalk with manuel so wont something different. All your help would be great and any advice for my plans for the car would be a helpful thanks

Your brave using the jack that came with the car, those jacking points can be a bit iffy as there one of the first places to start rotting out. Nice project though and good luck

If you have to use that jack again I'd be very tempted to put some axle stands underneath just in case

Hi well had a free couple of hours this morning so i stripped the seats, carpet, speakers, door cards out so inside is looking pritty bare. Then i had a crack at taking the engine out removed quite a few bits from it. It seems to be just held in at the bottom of the engine. So i got a bit stuck would i require any specialist tools to get it out at the bottom thanks

No special tools needed, just regular toolkit.

Hi little if possible please trying to get the engine out everything is off just took the drive shafts off. Whats my next job? Is it still attached by the engine mounts or does the engine just rest on them thanks
