HI just a quick question.If you keep getting a belt off the spark plug lead when working near said item with spanners wet hands ect does it mean that the leads need replacing or is it a normal occurance thank you
Have you checked them for cracks??!

no I hav'nt yet because I have been to busy trying to sort an oil leak out I just noticed getting a belt off the plug lead(cap) every now and then while I was working
Worth inspecting them and probably change the set.
I had EXACTLY this issue. ZAP! Ouch! &%$$@£!

I would change the set....shocking experience!
It's an easy job too. You don't have to be a bright SPARK.

are you working on the car with the engine running??!!!?!?!
i would imagine with the car running it would only be to warm the oil up so it thins, thus checking if there is a leak when its turned off
i had a belt off mine a couple of times, but check it first. i noticed with it one time it was wet, so the water was touchng the end and running down, and it made the whole thing live
dried it off and all was fine

used to hear that all the time back working as an electrical apprenticeFirst time I've ever heard a shock called a 'belt'. How strange.
