I have got hold of an ACR4 code reader for my SPI, but the SPI harness has a red positive lead which the instructions say to connect to the battery. This isn't practical with the battery in the boot and I no spare cable of the length required. So what, if anything, can I use in the engine bay for the positive feed?
Thanks
Luke

should be one on the back of the starter motor if you don't have a starter solenoid

Thanks for the incredibly fast replies, I'll give that a try when it's light. Will that be safe when even cranking?

I couldn't wait! I found the cable quite easily on the back of the solenoid and it worked fine.
Thanks both.
