Now that I've turned my attention to the engine bay of the car, I couldn't help but notice my washer bottle looks totaly out of place. Does anyone know of anywhere that sells alloy washer bottles or has anyone had a one made from scratch. Even some sort of cover would be ideal. I've searched everywhere but can't find on at all.

Any help appreciated. Cheers.

Cheers, I was hoping it wouldn't come to that :D

That's alot of money for it, might just see about getting a cover made for it

Hi Mark,

I would just look for a small universal alloy tank with a single suitable size outlet.Link the tank to the pump with a small length of pipe then back into the rest of the washer system. You would only need to make a couple of brackets to mount it up so should be reasonably straight forward.

Cheers Ross.

I've been thinking about getting one of these drilling a hole in the bottom for a brass nipple and running a tube to the washer jets with an inline pump.

Ross, I'm watching a mk2 Mondeo header tank, might be able to get the right size outlets fitted and maybe cut down to size and rewelded if it's too big.

Tupers - Car Builder solutions sell an inline washer pump for £8, can't get robbed at that!

There's this one from Oz, not sure on the dimensions though, I'll have to ask and check it will fit. I think it works out about £70 with the postage.

I have a alloy drink bottle as the diff breather bottle for my Race Cobra - nice anodized blue. People ask if it is Nitros all the time!

I used one of those Sigg alloy water bottles on my Mini Van. You can just about see it on the right of this photo, mounted on the inner wing.... I drilled a hole near the top and mounted a tube that goes all the way to the bottom, then fitted a small external pump.
