Right, Thought id post a thread about my MOE as ive had him for a year and its time for his MOT.

I bought him from a guy in kingston about a year ago. The previous owner was his cousin who had owned Moe since new!

When i bought him he looked somewhat like this.

As promised.

Modifications when i bought him:
12x5 superlites
stage1 kit tuned by minispeed
clear rear lenses
chrome here there and everywhere
and something else i cnt remember?

Mods i have made:
Cobra clubman bucket seats
Quick shift by minisport ( this broke recently so have got something a bit more special) pictures to come when it arrives
6x10 gb alloys
i originally upgraded the 8.4" discs to grooved and drilled with ebc greenstuff pads but needed 7.5" to put my 10's on!
mk2 rear lights
rear seat taken out
Harnesses
Hi-los front and rear
suede mountney steering wheel

Plans-
Respray in possibly speedwell blue or smoke grey?
WP arches
suede top and bottom dash rails to match steering wheel
maybe buy the abs motorsprt inno dash and paint body colour?
possibly paint wheels black . havent decided
in process of wiring in a reverse light as it is quite annoying when reversing in the dark as i cant see behind me! hehe
Might go black bonnet or get a rally style stone protector and get a mk2 bootlid and paint black. if i cant get a complete bootlid i was going to reskin. I think ive got a early bootlid frame on the car as it looks double skinned (has the oval suages instead of the cross frame?) but my mini expert mate is really confused because he doesnt think they made them like that in '89? mmm maybe someone can help? ill get somepics to show u!
Either going to build a spec'd up 998 or 1100 or plonk in a standard 1275 with stge 1 kit?

These plans may well change but i will update regularly. anywho pictures of this weekends progress!

Exciting times are afoot!!

Firstly i have convinced my workshop controller to let me sneak in some time with the spray booth next weekend. I asked the other apprentice if he would like to help me spray my car and he was kind enough to say " well........ok" lol

So, This weekend was spent getting the bodywork straight. Which i thought........easy enough. few ripples and dents and were sorted....................NOOOO!!
There was rust hiding everywhere!! front panel,arches,1/4 panel, os door! . So i fixed both 1/4 panels saturday morning and got my car back home (with no lights and no arches with the 6x10s sticking out wayyyyy illegally! lol naughty boy :) Then got the front arches welded, 1/4 panel welded and some other bits in filler.
Sunday (today) was spent on the door. Snapped two studs getting it off. Even though i had the thing off a month ago! grrr. ground back some rust and applied kurust, filler, etch primer the high build.

Plans for this week are as follows :

Monday- Order paint (smoke grey BU15) then start rubbing down filler
Tuesday- Finish filler work
Wednesday- prep for more primer
Thursday-Collect paint
Friday- Take car to work and prep for spray
Saturday- Spray car
Sunday- refurb chrome parts and refit lights, bumpers, windows and trim

All of that has to be done after work time 8am-5pm xcept sat and sun obv!
